Genere, cittadinanza e spazio pubblico. Una prospettiva Law&Humanities
Sinossi: Le disparità esistenti tra uomini e donne nello spazio pubblico sono un punto di partenza per riconsiderare il concetto di cittadinanza, con l’obiettivo di decostruirlo da uno standard maschile e riconcettualizzarlo in termini più inclusivi. Secondo una metodologia Law&Humanities, l’analisi si basa su tre storie tratte da La città femminista di Leslie Kern, dalle quali sarà possibile indagare la relazione tra cittadinanza e genere, gettando una nuova luce sulle esperienze delle donne negli spazi pubblici, evidenziandone i divari e ripensandoli in una prospettiva femminile.
Abstract: The inequalities existing between men and women in public space are a starting point for reconsidering the concept of citizenship, with the aim of deconstructing it from a masculine standard and reconceptualising it in more inclusive terms. According to a Law&Humanities methodology, the analysis is based on three stories from Leslie Kern’s The Feminist City, from which it will be possible to investigate the relationship between citizenship and gender, shedding new light on women’s experiences in public spaces, highlighting the gaps and rethinking them from a female perspective.
